I am Jose Angel Pineda, Evangelist.
I am 32 years old, baptized in the Church of Christ , married for 23
years to Nery. We have 3 children: Rut Noemí of 21 years, Silvia
Patricia of 17 years and Samuel Jose of 13 years.
At the moment I am the Evangelist serving in the Church of Christ of
the city of Valera, State of Trujillo, Venezuela, for 6 years.
The Churches of Christ that maintain our work here in Valera are
Fargo Church of Christ in Vernon, Texas and Chapel Hill Church of
Christ in White Bluff, Tennessee. The Sponsoring congregation is
Douglas Country in Denver, Colorado and the direct bonding is our
beloved Brother Robert (Bob) Brown.
Studies of Theology: Pastorate in Christian Missions in the School
of Preaching in the city of Lubbock, Texas, United States. Duration:
From January of year 1989 to January 1991.
Interest and Personal Activities: Public Oratorio, Relations,
Locution, Type and Computation.
Activity in the Community: I participate in a radial program called
"Nothing But Christians" sponsored by the Church of Christ, Monday
through Friday in the morning hours and prepare activities at an
orphanage in Valera.
DATA TO CONTRIBUTE
The Congregation of Valera, State of Trujillo counts on 52 faithful
members. The Attendance average is of 75 people on Sundays,
including visitors and children.
Between the plans and activities in this congregation we have the
following things:
We hold two discipleship sessions once a week which involve an
average of 35 brothers and sisters.
We have married meetings every 2 months with dynamic games and an
average attendance of 14 couples. We have prayer meetings and bible
studies every 2 months to fortify to us, to grow and to mature unto
Jesus. We have congregational seminaries every 3 months.
Between the immediate plans for this year 2006 we must make two (2)
evangelistic campaigns in the month of May and the month of
September, as well as one (1) medical mission between the poor and
humble people of the community, to take care of odontological,
pediatric, general medicine, gynecological, haircuts, and other
physical needs as we take care of the spiritual needs as well.
At the moment I attend and serve in another congregation near
Valera, this is in the city of Bachaquero, in the Zulia State. It is
a small congregation of 6 members, which is about one hour away from
the city of Valera. I travel Sunday afternoons with my wife and my
beloved brother Eli Alfredo Creek. We established this work with
God’s help one (1) year ago.
PLANS IN 5 YEARS:
Growth and strength of the Church of Christ in this city of Valera,
establishment of elders and deacons, as well as to fortify the work
of Bachaquero in the Zulia State, and to extend and to establish the
work in the city of Bocono in the State of Trujillo, which is to two
(2) hours from the city of Valera.
NECESSITIES OF
THE PINEDA FAMILY:
At the moment we have a deficit in our budget of things necessary to
cover the expenses of housing, food, transportation, services and
schooling for our two (2) daughters Rut Noemí and Silvia Patricia
which study in the city of Maracaibo in the Zulia State, which is 3
hours from the city of Valera. This is not counting health
insurance, and also an increase of inflation in the prices of food
and services of electricity, water, gas and telephone that currently
exists in our country.
We finalized want to say that this Preacher, together with his
family who serves God from the heart in their ministry, does not
have anything to glory in themselves, but to work and serve with
humility, vocation and all our heart, for the love of God and His
Son Jesus Christ, our Lord. We respect His Word and Doctrine,
knowing that our work is not in vain.
